In some operational contexts, a single communication technology is not enough
Multi-Technology Radio Interconnection Rental Solutions
Request a quoteLocal teams on VHF/UHF radios, mobile teams on LTE, enclosed areas on Wi-Fi, remote sites to coordinate: the networks exist, but they do not communicate with each other.
Radio interconnection solutions bridge these separate worlds to ensure operational continuity of communications.
At Sabbah Communication, we offer rental of pragmatic radio interconnections, focused on field use, without unnecessary complexity or heavy supervision logic.
Our approach: your teams do not need to know how the network is built. They simply need to be able to talk to each other.

What We Mean by Radio Interconnection
A radio interconnection links several separate communication networks so they can exchange voice in real time
Typical use cases:
- Enabling a team using VHF/UHF radios to communicate with a remote team equipped with LTE/PoC radios
- Keeping an isolated Wi-Fi site reachable from a central PC
- Allowing several geographically separated sites to share a single operational channel
This is about routing voice — not connecting business software
What We Interconnect
(and What We Don’t)
What we do.
We interconnect communication networks:
VHF/UHF Radios ↔ LTE/PoC
Connection between local field teams and mobile or remote teams
Wi-Fi ↔ Radio
Intramuros communication (basements, enclosed buildings) linked to the rest of the radio system
Remote Sites ↔ Main Site
Communication continuity across multiple geographic locations
What we do not do and therefore do not offer:
- Business supervision
- Security hypervision
- Complex IT system integration
- Multi-application IT platforms
Our scope is deliberately limited to the continuity of operational communications
Interconnection Technologies Used
We use proven professional gateways to guarantee the reliability of interconnections:
VE-PG4 (Vocom)
Multi-protocol IP gateway enabling the interconnection of VHF/UHF, LTE/PoC, Wi-Fi radios and telephone lines. Robust solution suited to deployments requiring a high degree of flexibility
Typical use cases:
Local site interconnection (VHF/UHF) ↔ remote teams (LTE), multi-site geographic links, Wi-Fi integration into main radio network
RoIP Gateways (Radio over IP)
Dedicated solutions for routing radio voice over IP networks (LAN, WAN, secure Internet). Compatible with most professional radios on the market
Typical use cases:
Radio range extension over IP network, connecting remote sites without dedicated radio infrastructure, backup for primary communications
Multi-Site Servers (architecture dependent)
Used only in specific deployments requiring the management of several distinct sites or groups. Implementation subject to thorough technical validation
Implementation:
Custom configuration based on your existing architecture, latency and audio quality testing, network stability validation. No deployment without a prior validation phase
When Radio Interconnection
Makes Sense
Radio interconnections are most relevant when:
- Multiple technologies coexist within a single deployment
- Teams are split between a local site and remote sites
- Radio alone is no longer sufficient, but remains essential
- Reliability takes precedence over sophistication
Multi-site event
Local radios on each site + overall coordination via LTE
Large industrial site
DMR on site + LTE for mobile teams or external maintenance
radio interconnection
Multi-warehouse logistics
Local radios per site + inter-site link for supervisors
Partitioned buildings
Intramuros Wi-Fi linked to the main radio network
Our Positioning
on Interconnections
We do not sell interconnections « by default »
Our approach is deliberately measured:
- Interconnection only where it delivers a genuine operational benefit
- Simple, understandable and maintainable architecture
- Priority on field reliability, not sophistication
We act as a radio operator and service provider, not as an IT integrator
We remain responsible for the operation of the communication system
In practice:
we guarantee that your VHF/UHF radios communicate with your LTE terminals via our gateways.
The broader IT infrastructure (internal network, IT security, business applications) remains outside our scope of intervention
Interconnections and Extended Networks
Radio interconnections are often associated with extended, temporary or semi-permanent radio networks:
These architectures are detailed on our dedicated extended radio networks page, where interconnections come into their full meaning
Typical use cases:
- Multi-site DMR
- Temporary repeaters
- Hybrid radio + LTE deployments
