Front Connect is the tool developed by Icom to support LTE and hybrid radio networks

Front Connect is designed as a communication operations tool, not a business supervision system.
It facilitates field coordination without replacing your management software (TMS, CMMS, ERP).
IP500AP Application: Push-to-Talk on Smartphone
Integrating smartphones into the LTE radio network on a temporary basis.
The IP500AP application allows an Android or iOS smartphone to join the same communication groups as Icom LTE radios (IP503H, IP730D).
How it works:
- PTT voice communication on existing groups
- Text messaging with other users
- GPS tracking visible on Front Connect
- SOS alert reception
Typical use cases:
- Field manager supervising teams without carrying a radio
- Administrative team receiving alerts and communicating occasionally
- Temporary external contributor integrated temporarily into the network
- Occasional users not requiring permanent equipment
The smartphone app is designed as a temporary complement to the LTE radio network, not as a substitute for professional terminals.
Important limitation: The smartphone requires a good 4G/5G connection. In areas with poor coverage or demanding environments (construction sites, industry), a professional radio remains essential.
